I garuntee im in a bigger, better band and am twice the musician you are and i only got half way through one of the songs on this album before being filled with the same pure hatred i feel towards bands such as bring me the horizon, attack attack, anything where the singer speaks in a broad english accent.

Firstly, I suspect you don’t grasp the meaning of the word ‘apparently’. The reason I wrote this review is the same reason I wrote the reviews for Ravage’s latest album, Onslaught’s classic In Search of Sanity etc. I feel I need to point out that there are some excellent albums that shit all over the latest mainstream releases yet they get fuck all promotion. Reviewing something as abysmal as War Is The Answer proves that I’m not the kind of illiterate Roadrunner-felating journalists that writes for NME or Kerrang.

If twin guitar harmonies, shredding solos, (they even have an instrumental all shred song), Swedish/Euro style MINOR KEY melodies are nu-metal then sign me up for some of that nu-metal-core-whatever you call it.

Not since Pantera I saw a band this devastating. As a fellow musician I am a harsh critic, and here I was re-thinking my own ideals about live shows. First time in my life, I felt discouraged and unequipped. There is no other way to put it it, but these guys kicked my ass and thought me a lesson while doing it, and I’m glad they did, because it makes me work harder. I bought their album and I loved it. This new one is even better. 5FDP figured out something a lot of musicians fail to realize.

As you pointed out yourself, they have a sound of their own. That alone is an accomplishment. Just how many bands we know that don’t have that kind of identity? Second, they write songs that are memorable. Add these two together and you got yourself a recepie. The recepie of success. Now, add the fact that they SLAY live, you see where I’m going with this. So hats of to these dudes.

I’m sure our favorite deathmetal bands would disgree, but I’d like to know how tr00 and br00tal they will look in a Burger King uniform after they’re too old to put on the make-up. You ask me, I’d go to audition for 5FDP before Immortal or even Behemoth.
